Here it is…the traditional Hong Bao Toto Draw is back once again. This time the draw falls on the last day of the CNY celebrations. It will take place at 9:30pm on 2 March, Friday. And what’s the top prize? S$12m (36m ringgit!).
2 March is also the last day of the 15-day CNY celebration, and will be the climax of what is the most important festive celebration for the Chinese.
This is also the 19th consecutive year Singapore Pools will conduct this Hong Bao Draw. Since 2000, whenever the draw comes around, it has always been the talk across food courts, coffeeshops, libraries (shhh!) and hawker centres!
Who don’t want to get rich right? But you might have to be in a loooooong queue, especially at those popular betting outlets. For some, it’s okay as it is a tradition!
To make things convenient, Singapore Pools will introduce three unique festive packs for the punters to buy. Usually spotted dangling at the glass window which separates you and the cashier, they are priced at S$10, $20 and S$228!
Inside the S$10 packet, there’s a System 7 (costs S$7) quick pick and a Big Sweep ticket (S$3) for the Month of March. As for S$20, there’s two System 7 quick pick (S$14), 3 ordinary quick pick entries in one ticket (S$3) and a Big Sweep ticket (S$3) for the Month of March.
These packs will be on sale from 26 Feb, Monday, 6:10pm. Sales stop 9pm on the draw day itself.
Oh wait, what about the S$228 package? There’s 10 System 7 tickets in there, each containing three entries (S$210). Adding on, there’s six Big Sweep tickets (S$18) for the Month of March.
Remember folks, the draw date is on 2 March, 9:30pm. Anyone who wants a piece of the live draw action can head to Singapore Pools HQ. That’s at Middle Road. Nearest Mrt is Dhoby Ghaut!
Here’s wishing you great luck on that day!
