On the eve of New Year’s Day, Marina Bay will release hourly fireworks for Countdown 2018.
The year-end countdown to Marina Bay hosted by Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) will take place on Tuesday (December 26).
From 8pm on New Year’s Eve, fireworks will be released on an hourly basis in the Marina Bay area. At midnight, the public will be able to watch a six-minute fireworks show in melodious music.
According to Jason Chen, director of place management at URA, the scope of the fireworks display is even greater this year, giving more people a chance to watch it.
“In this arrangement, when they arrived in Marina Bay and Civic District early, they could watch the fireworks show. In terms of design, each section of the fireworks show was in fact not the same as that of 6 minutes. This is something that will be very unusual, different and of course a very fresh one. ”
